The Stoddard Rock hoppers are a 180-+ member snowmobile club comprising of both locals and out of state weekenders. The club was founded by a group of local people that enjoyed snowmobiling and wished to improve both the trails and the experience of snowmobiling in town. Over the years, the club grew and gained affiliation with both the State of New Hampshire and the NHSA which in turned opened doors to equipment grants for grooming and construction grants for trail improvements. The Rock Hoppers then forged relationships with the landowners to allow the continuation of snowmobiling in Stoddard.
We hope you enjoy our site and find it easy to navigate. Take some time and cruise through the pages. 2/26/10 We got dumped on with 20"+ of new snow followed by over 2" of rain. High winds that exceeded 60mph blew most of the night and most likely caused many downed trees throughout the trail system. The trails will have snow but also water due to all the rain. We will be out there looking at what we can do with this rain/snow combo. We could use some cold weather to firm up the new snow pack. Ride with caution.
