The Stoddard Rock hoppers are a 180-+ member snowmobile club comprising of both locals and out of state weekenders. The club was founded by a group of local people that enjoyed snowmobiling and wished to improve both the trails and the experience of snowmobiling in town. Over the years, the club grew and gained affiliation with both the State of New Hampshire and the NHSA which in turned opened doors to equipment grants for grooming and construction grants for trail improvements. The Rock Hoppers then forged relationships with the landowners to allow the continuation of snowmobiling in Stoddard.

We hope you enjoy our site and find it easy to navigate. Take some time and cruise through the pages.

Winter still has quite a grip on us here. There was not much melting this week and much of the "rain" fell as ice and sleet. There is still PLENTY of snow. The problem lies with water bars, some creek beds, and the lake. The lake has some open water in the south channel and by the corridor 6 east entrance. Lake travel will only become more dangerous as the days get longer and the sun gets stronger. I expect much more open water to "pop up". There is still riding to be had, but the lake is not good to travel on. This will be the last report of the season. By April 1st, most of the clubs in the north country will have stopped grooming. We will suspend our efforts as well. It has been a great season. Thank you for supporting us and thank you Mother Nature for giving us the white gold to ride on. The last meeting of the season is April 17th. Remember, if you want to have a radar run next year to contact us in the fall and let us know.

Meetings are held every 3rd Thursday of the month at the town hall. Please attend! We need your support.

Landowners ALLOW us to ride on their property and we should be grateful for their gift of permission. Do not bypass gates. Your decision to do so will result in the landowner closing the trail. Be patient and respectful. Your registration gives you no rights to trespass where you wish. Riding in NH is a privilege, not a right.
