The Stoddard Rock hoppers are a 180-+ member snowmobile club comprising of both locals and out of state weekenders. The club was founded by a group of local people that enjoyed snowmobiling and wished to improve both the trails and the experience of snowmobiling in town. Over the years, the club grew and gained affiliation with both the State of New Hampshire and the NHSA which in turned opened doors to equipment grants for grooming and construction grants for trail improvements. The Rock Hoppers then forged relationships with the landowners to allow the continuation of snowmobiling in Stoddard.
We hope you enjoy our site and find it easy to navigate. Take some time and cruise through the pages. 1/17/10 We have been grooming the trails for the past two weeks. Are condtions are fair right now with some areas better than others. We need some more snow which is forcasted for tonight. 4-8" of snow is supposed to fall. If the snow is heavy and wet, that is the best to have. It will compact down to a nice base and make for some fine grooming. Jeft's road still needs snow in the river bank area. The logging is done in the Merriwood area but there is quite a mess in that spot. Please use caution as we will attempt to clean it up. There are numerous logging operations going on throughout our trail system as well as the connecting ones. As of this week, there is a small one going on the lower part of King's highway, Jefts road, and in Marlow. Please be advised and proceed with caution. Best Regards, Bob Fee, President. We are having a meeting this week at my home. please email for details if interested. I have a new e-mail address. Here it is: bobfee@hughes.net Bob Fee Landowners ALLOW us to ride on their property and we should be grateful for their gift of permission. Do not bypass gates. Your decision to do so will result in the landowner closing the trail. Be patient and respectful. Your registration gives you no rights to trespass where you wish. Riding in NH is a privilege, not a right. |
