About UsWe have compiled a makeshift biography of some of the current officers and key members that work to keep the club running and growing. We want to put a personality to the name so all the members can properly appreciate the job they do and the time they contribute. President: Bob Fee Bob lives in Stoddard with his wife. He has lived here since 1996. During this time, Bob caught the snowmobile bug and it has never let go of him. He was the vice president and was nominated to president this year after Casey Hayes stepped down to spend more time with his family. Bob can be found on the computer responding to e-mails, helping with the website, and in the "cook-shack" during our events flipping burgers and serving hot dogs. He is a sportsman who enjoys hunting and fishing along with snowmobiling. Bob can be found running the trail at night, which is best time to ride. Vice President: Mike Flemming Mike has lived in Stoddard most of his life. He is a dedicated "hardcore" snowmobiler who can be seen out on the trail often. He is also quite a "gearhead" who spends time helping repair and build equipment for the club, grooming, and doing trail maintenance. He organizes the radar run every year and enjoys the thrill drag racing. Without Mike, there would be no radar run, he is the driving force on this event. Treasurer: Laura Gagnon Laura lives in Stoddard with her husband Glen (who is the trail master). Laura has been riding Stoddard trails for years. She is the "wonder-woman" of our club that keeps everything organized and up to date. She also handles all the memberships and the paperwork associated with that task. Laura also has assumed some responsibilities of the secretary since we do not have one. Without her, the club would be lost. Trail Master: Glenn Gagnon Glen is the "head wrench" of the Rock Hoppers and is responsible for designing and building all of our drags that the club uses to maintain our trails. He has saved the club thousands of dollars by building these drags himself. He repairs and maintains the groomers, grooms trails, and helps with other trail maintenance projects. Simply put, he is a busy man. Glen has a long history of snowmobiling in Stoddard. He came here on weekends and holidays as a boy and has lived here full time for well over a decade. He is the Super-Man of the Gagnon team. Between him and as wife, they have become the heart and soul of our club. Trail Administrator: Bob Blair Bob Lives in Stoddard with his wife. He is the "silent Santa" of the club who puts the paperwork together to get funding for grooming equipment, trail grants, and grooming hour grants that make the trails better. This task takes time and energy since the state demands every "I" dotted and "T" crossed. Bob also helps with grooming, trail maintenance, the radar run, and the cook-shack. Bob provides us with the funding necessary to keep the club operating. He has lived in town over a decade and has come here for years as a youngster. |
